I consider creating comfort food recipes a byproduct of this past year. Let’s be honest, I think most of us seek comfort in food. It’s a natural, biochemical response. Our brains release feel-good neurotransmitters in response to those pleasurable foods and, as a result, we want to return to them time and time again. That being said, I do think it is possible to make comforting food choices that are still supportive of our healing.
