Slow Cooker Holiday Wassail (AIP/Paleo)

Slow Cooker Holiday Wassail (AIP/Paleo)

Wassail is a traditionally English, hot, spiced cider that is enjoyed around the holidays. It traditionally contains alcohol, but can also be made without. It is absolutely delicious and easy to make.

Back when my younger sister was in school she sang in a madrigal choir that hosted a renaissance themed dinner each year around Christmas and they would serve wassail for the guests to enjoy as they performed.

With Christmas fast approaching I am sure that many of you are planning on hosting or attending holiday parties with family, friends and coworkers, and you may be concerned about what to bring or make to these events. This is a perfect go-to recipe for each of your holiday events this season. It is simple to make, doesn’t require any special ingredients and everyone will love it regardless of the diet they follow. I even made it for a bunch of teenagers and they loved it so much they drained the pot and then got very grumpy when I told them we were out.

Holiday parties should be a source of fun and enjoyment not a source of stress, so plan ahead, bring food you can enjoy and impress all of your guests with this delicious holiday treat
