Hello Everyone! I just wanted to write a quick post to explain why I have been MIA for a number of weeks now. I have unfortunately been suffering from a rather severe ulcerative colitis flare for about two months now and the last few weeks have been especially challenging. I have had a lot of blood loss, joint pain, and severe fatigue and as everyone with ulcerative colitis knows a flare like this requires a lot of attention and rest.

I am hopeful that I have turned the corner, however it will be a slow recovery.

Thankfully, I have found some wonderful natural remedies to help manage some of my symptoms and I am working with my doctor to pair those techniques with select medications to get back on my feet.

When I return, I have a number of posts waiting for you on tomato canning, canning peaches, making peach jam, and some delicious and super easy paleo recipes.

Please take this time to look back over the archives and see what we have been up to over the past few months and before you know it there will be a whole bunch of new information for you to explore!

Thank you all for your patience and understanding! I can’t wait to be back interacting with everyone as soon as possible.
