Strawberry Sorbet (AIP/Paleo)

sorbetAs with many of my recipes this one came out of experimentation and a need for dessert. We had a super super hot day earlier this week, with temperatures near 100 degrees, and I desperately wanted something cool for dessert. However, an ice cream run was not in the budget.  Remembering that I had a bunch of frozen strawberries in the freezer that a friend had given us I decided to try and make sorbet. It was success at first try because it could not have been easier. All you need is some frozen strawberries, a little bit of honey, a blender or food processor, and some optional chocolate chips.

For Two People:

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart sized plastic bag of frozen strawberries
  • 2 TBS of Honey
  • Chocolate Chips (Exclude for AIP )

Directions:

Blend strawberries and honey together in a food processor until smooth. Serve plain or with chocolate chips.
